Go Golborne’s Unplug and Play campaign is all about helping children to be active and to develop healthy screen habits.

Did you know that health experts recommend that children should be active for at least 60 minutes each day and spend no more than 2 hours a day using screens?

Too much screen time can be bad for our health. It can cause us to have difficulty getting enough sleep, which can affect how we feel and how well we can concentrate on things. If we spend lots of time sitting around on screens it probably means that we are not spending enough time being active, which can cause us to get unfit.

25 ways to Unplug & Play booklet

Unplug and Play front cover

To help children (and their parents!) to Unplug & Play we have created a booklet called ’25 ways to Unplug & Play!’ that challenges children to try and complete as many of the screen-free activities as they can and collect reward stickers from local play and leisure centres. Copies are available in local libraries and Children’s Centres and can be ordered for free by emailing gogolborne@rbkc.gov.uk or you can download the Unplug & Play booklet.

Children can win a limited edition Go Golborne pin badge by emailing pictures of their sticker collection to gogolborne@rbkc.gov.uk.
