2016 saw Councillors support nearly twenty different
projects ranging from community events, equipment costs and
building improvements to community programmes to improve the lives
of residents.
These included the Christmas dinners
(Whitchurch House) and seaside trips for elderly residents (Latymer
Christian Centre; Roof repairs at Clement James, refurbishment of
the autism unit at Kensington Aldridge Academy and a new hot water
pump for Action Disability Kensington and Chelsea).
Councillors also supported two local garden committees with
equipment to increase membership and wider community involvement,
and supported ClementJames with their IntoWork programme. They also
supported Oxford Gardens Primary School to run another Food
Explorers week, teaching pupils about healthy food options.
