New Youthquake 2017 stage

What's the New Youthquake (NYQ) story?

The term ‘Youthquake’ was coined by British Vogue editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland in 1965 to describe a London-centred movement of youth culture including music and fashion. New Youthquake aims to re-kindle that movement, with London's iconic Portobello and Golborne Road market at its heart.

What's happening this time?

New Youthquake 2019 market 7, 8 and 9 June:
Youth market and nano-festival with 32 stalls, live performance platform, free bike tune-ups and more. On Friday 7 and Saturday 8 June the market will operate in the square from 10am to 5pm. On Sunday 9 June the market will expand to include the section of Portobello Road adjacent to the square from 11am to 5pm.

Want to get involved?
