Our programme of Children's Holiday Activities for 2019

February Half Term:  Monday 18 February to Friday 22 February


10am to midday

Monday 18 February

Creepy Crawlies

Hunt for minibeasts in the woods and meet the centre’s creatures.

Animal Homes

Learn about the homes animals live in. Build a mouse house and a bird’s nest in the woods.

Tuesday 19 February

Animal Tracks

Investigate the tracks and trails animals leave behind. Make your own animal footprint cast.

Wriggly Worms

Discover nature’s recyclers and make a wormery. Please bring an empty 2 litre bottle.

Wednesday 20 February

Nature Explorer Afternoon 12 to 4pm. £2 donation for activities.

Feed the Birds: A fun afternoon of bird related activities.  Learn more about our feathered friends and make a bird feeder to take home.

Thursday 21 February

Forest Day 10:30am -  3pm (8 to 12 year-olds)

Forest School themed exploration in the Wildlife Area with activities such as whittling, fire lighting and shelter building. Packed lunch and outdoor clothing required.

Friday 22 February

Whittle Away

Use a peeler to whittle some creations from natural materials.

Wild Things *NEW*

Join us around the campfire for games and natural crafts.

Fees and Charges

These charges have been set and agreed by the Cabinet member for Environment, Leisure and Residents’ Services in March 2018.

Spaces are limited on our holiday activity sessions. Please book and make payment in advance to secure your booking. Sorry, we cannot give refunds.

Note: * Concessions are: RBKC residents who are in receipt of: job seekers allowance [income based], incapacity benefit, disability living allowance, industrial injuries disablement benefit or severe disablement allowance or senior citizen [60+ years]. Concessions discount is also available to those who have a disability or are registered as caring for the disabled. (RBKC residents and Non Residents) For concession rate proof of residency and eligibility is required.

Method of Payment

In booking sessions, please note we only now accept payment by debit or credit card excluding American Express.
