Traffic Management Details Proposal The general effect of the Order would be, from 1st April 2021, to alter the charges for certain parking permits and withdraw certain parking permit options and discounts, as follows: (a) the charges for residents' permits and combined motorcycle permits would be: See proforma for tables *The maximum CO2 g/km (grammes of carbon dioxide gas emitted per kilometre driven) used to generate this part of the permit charge would be capped at 250 g/km for permits issued between 1st April 2021 and 31st March 2022, 300 g/km for permits issued between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023 and 350 g/km for permits issued between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2024. From 1st April 2024 onwards, there would be no such cap on this part of the charge. (b) charges for nine-month residents' permits and combined motorcycle permits would continue to be based on the difference in price between a 12-month permit and a three-month permit. As is currently the case, residents may only purchase a nine-month permit in certain circumstances, following purchase of a three-month permit. (c) the charge for a one-month temporary permit would be £41 (this amount includes the £21 base cost). A one-month temporary permit is issued only at the discretion of the Council; and (d) weekend only residents' permits and the discount on the charge for combined motorcycle permits for holders of an Advanced Rider Training Certificate would no longer be available.
