South front of Holland House; watercolour by John Buckler, 1812
This view of the south front of Holland House by John Buckler was painted simultaneously with view of north front painted by his son. It is the only known example of father and son working together. At this time Holland House was owned by 3rd Lord Holland who with his formidable wife Elizabeth presided over one of the most glittering salons of the day.
