Notice of appropriation of open space land outside Barlby Primary School

Information referred to in advertisement in local paper dated 09/11/2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 Section 122(2A), the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to appropriate the strip of land located outside of Barlby Primary School, Barlby Road, London W10 6BH, within Treverton Estate and which forms part of open space and shown coloured yellow on the plan 654-PL-149 for planning purposes. The Land measures 467 sqm. The planning purposes are for the demolition of existing school buildings and erection of part 3 and part 4 storey school buildings comprising a Primary School and Special Education Needs School pursuant to the planning permission granted under reference PP/18/01168.

The plan of the of the land is available for inspection at Kensington Town Hall, Customer Service Centre, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX between 8.30am and 5pm.

Any representations or objections with respect to the proposal must be made in writing to the Head of Legal Bi-Borough Shared Legal Services, Kensington and Chelsea Council, Kensington Town Hall (G29), Hornton Street, London W8 7NX reference LS/TS/30109541 (email: [email protected]) to be received no later than 30 November 2018.

The drawing shows the small strip of open space land that it is proposed to transfer (or appropriate) to the school site.

Please note that at completion of the new school project, a larger area of land is proposed to be transferred for housing use, subject to further consultation with the local community.
