Council services: a snapshot

The following shows a snapshot of the Council's services budget for the 2025 to 2025 period.

Children’s Services

Forty six million pounds (£46m) will be spent to support vulnerable and Looked After children, including £500k to remain for Grenfell Education.

Housing and Social Investment

Twenty two million (£22m) will be spent on Housing services, including a net spend of £14.6m on 2,100 households in temporary accommodation.

Schools 

Seventy nine million four hundred thousand pounds (£79.4m) supporting 30 schools in the borough

Public Health

Twenty seven million, four hundred thousand pounds (£27.4m) will be spent to provide a variety of health and wellness services to reduce health inequalities within the borough. 

Communities and Chief Executive

Thirteen million (£13m) will be spent of community safety services, registrars, community engagement and supporting the voluntary sector. 

Environment and Neighbourhoods

Eighty one million seven hundred thousand pounds (£81.7m) to operate two leisure centres, two museums, maintain the borough's parks, roads, footpath and to provide waste and street cleansing services to 97,000 households.  

Grenfell

Two million eight hundred thousand pounds (£2.8m) to support the Grenfell Recovery Programme and £10.5m for the first year of a new programme of support for bereaved, survivors and the local community.  

Adult Social Care

Seventy eight million (£78m) will be spent providing social care services to approximately 1,700 people in Kensington and Chelsea.  

Other

There is also an additional £170k for local stop smoking initiatives and £1.5m in substance misuse grants.
