The Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster Big Plan for supporting adults with learning disabilities (2018 to 2020) was developed jointly by the two councils and the two Clinical Commissioning Groups. It was co‑produced with people with learning disabilities, their families, support providers and other stakeholders.

It aims to make sure adults with learning disabilities and young people preparing for adulthood get the right support. This will help them, and their parents or carers, to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.

It sets out clear commitments to improve support. This is not only to meet our duties as councils and Clinical Commissioning Groups, but also to reflect the needs and wishes of people with learning disabilities and their families in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.
