Bringing services to residents
Our residents have asked for better integrated services, aimed at areas of the borough where residents live.
We aim to improve housing management services for all our residents by delivering bespoke services to local areas. Our services will be:
- closer to our communities
- more accessible and convenient
- improving overall service quality
To do this we have adopted the successful ways of working introduced by the Lancaster West Neighbourhood team.
World’s End area project: developing local services
The World's End and surrounding area project is a direct response to what residents have told us they want in their neighbourhood.
We are working with residents and other stakeholders to explore how:
- localised approaches could benefit residents
- more coordinated support across council and other providers could deliver better services
Blantyre Office refurbishment
Following consultation with residents in autumn 2024, we are refurbishing the Blantyre Office to provide improved and more accessible service to residents.
The resulting bigger and more welcoming office space will improve the experience for residents visiting us, and allow space for multidisciplinary teams to improve the support we can offer. We have opened a temporary reception at Units 1 and 2 World’s End Place for residents to use while the refurbishment takes place.
Due to limited space in the temporary offices, we cannot offer drop in meetings with housing or rent officers. We have written to residents in the local area to let them know how to book appointments.
What is next?
We aim to reopen the Blantyre Office in early summer 2025. We will write to residents to let them know when it has reopened.
