About the programme
Last year we ran a successful project to collect and refurbish computers and phones donated by residents. This was to support people in need across the borough.
We've now gifted 122 devices. You can find out more about this project.
Our partners
Building on this project, we've partnered with:
- European Cultural Foundation
- North Kensington Library
- community partner Westway Trust
to collect, refurbish and gift computers to families, older people living alone and people seeking work.
Facts about digital exclusion
Digital exclusion is when someone may not have access to one or several of these:
- an appropriate device
- internet connection
- the skills to do things online
1 in 7 adults and 1 in 5 children in the UK are digitally excluded. We estimate that 12,000 residents are digitally excluded in the borough.
We're working hard to bridge the digital divide in our borough and to ensure no one is left behind. More information here.
