Dear Residents,

As your Mayor I would like to say a special thanks to you in this time of uncertainty and anxiety.

The Coronavirus pandemic is affecting each of us in one way or another, and now more than ever it is crucial that we all look after ourselves and other people in every way that we can.

We are all especially grateful to those who are helping to keep key services running, including, amongst others, our NHS and Social Care services, Police & Fire, Council Officers, rubbish collection, supermarket employees, delivery drivers, teachers, carers and volunteer networks. You are doing vital work.

With the Easter bank holiday weekend coming up, being away from our family friends and loved ones will be particularly difficult, however it is crucial that we stick to the guidance to prevent the Coronavirus spreading and to reduce the pressure on our NHS.

Each and every one of us can all do our bit to support the health and wellbeing of others, so please follow the government guidance of staying home, unless you need to leave to go to work (if you cannot work from home), to shop for essentials, or for health and permitted exercise reasons. If you do leave your home, remember to stay two metres away from other people and wash your hands as soon as you get home.

If you are feeling worried or need more information on how your Council can help you, please visit our Council support pages or use our COVID-19 hub which has been set up for vulnerable residents in the borough.

I am honoured to have had the opportunity to serve as your Mayor this year, and throughout my term I have had the privilege of meeting many residents and community organisations who help to make this borough so special. Thank you for all that you are doing, and please stay safe and take care.

With very best wishes,

Will

Councillor Will Pascall,

Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
