Awards recognise winners’ in three new categories celebrating those who have helped in the response to Covid-19 as well as individuals, and community groups in Kensington and Chelsea

Kensington and Chelsea Council today announced that it has received a report examining specific property transactions involving the work of the Council’s Property Department before the Grenfell Tower tragedy in June 2017. 

This week the Council will be texting and calling over 2,500 residents who are now being asked to shield themselves until the end of March. 

Owners of empty or under-utilised properties in Kensington and Chelsea are being asked to bring them back into use to help tackle the borough’s housing shortage.

The Grenfell Projects Fund and Community Leadership Programme are returning – and the Kensington and Chelsea community can help shape both schemes.

Since the start of the pandemic a year ago, over £65.5 million has been given to businesses in Kensington and Chelsea to help them through the impacts of Covid-19.
