Making a planning application

Planning Duty Officer telephone service

If you have a live planning application, you can use the planning application search to check its progress. The search is updated regularly and key milestones and target dates can be found under 'Proposal Details'.

If your application is still within the statutory determination period, or within an agreed extension of time, you should not expect a progress update at this stage.

If you need to contact your planning officer, email them directly. You can find their contact details in:

  • your planning application acknowledgement letter
  • emails or letters about your application

For information about planning applications, planning guidance, planning enforcement and other planning services, visit the planning and building control page.

For planning advice for your business or property, use our pre-application service.
