Information, advice and guidance

About the service

Information, advice and guidance is provided four days each week for residents in the area by the Kensington and Chelsea Advice Partnership (KCAP).

The partners are Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea, North Kensington Law Centre and Nucleus Legal Advice.

City Living Local Life (CLLL) A Council ward-based community programme that helps residents improve their neighbourhoods by providing funding for community activities. Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) NCIL, which is administered by the Council, is made up of contributions from developers in the borough. Kensington and Chelsea Youth Advocate Service Community Safety staff who provide specialist case work for young people from 11 to 18 years old affected by youth violence and exploitation. Appointments are made directly with their advocate worker. The staff will also carry out home visits to those who live on the estate or meet them in cafe or community settings in World’s End. The Council’s Street Enforcement Team patrols the World’s End Estate and coordinate their activity with the Neighbourhood Policing Team to increase the uniformed presence.

Regular joint ‘street briefings’ take place with the police so that residents can meet the teams and share their concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour.

The Housing Office is the first point of contact for housing issues or support. Monthly surgeries are available for residents to come and ask questions about housing issues.

Services for children and young people

Free fun and food during the holidays

Why not make your child’s holidays fun by exploring exciting new activities for them? With the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF), your child could be eligible for school holidays full of free activities with food.

Funded places are reserved for children eligible for free school meals. Browse the Our City website today for countless sport, music, dance, arts, cooking, crafts and adventure activities all taking place during the holidays.

Early help and family hubs

Our Family Hubs are a new way of bringing together all the support you may need as a family, from pregnancy through to young people turning 19 (or 25 if they have a disability). There is a children’s centre in each of the Family Hubs with activities for very young children and a wide range of support for families with children of older ages. Best start for life

A team of youth workers offering a variety of youth work support to young people aged 11 to 19, including street-based sessions, helping children and young people to access provision in youth centres and elsewhere and one-to-one mentoring programmes.

Targeted and Prevention Team
