Whether you are a smoker, concerned about your drinking habits, or simply want to lead a healthier lifestyle, there are many free services and resources you can use to improve your health.   

One You Kensington and Chelsea

One You Kensington and Chelsea is here to support residents to make simple changes towards a longer, healthier and happier life. They help you to:

  • quit smoking 
  • manage your weight
  • be more active
  • reduce the amount of alcohol you drink

and also offer NHS Health checks.

Alcohol and drug intake

Are you worried about how much you are drinking? Are you concerned about your drug use or the drug and alcohol use of someone you know? Find out more about our free services below. 

Adults services
Change, Grow, Live offers specialist alcohol support. They can also provide assessments, support goal setting, psychosocial support, and facilitate access to residential detox or rehabilitation services.

Turning Point offers residents free advice and support around drug and alcohol use. This may include learning how to manage cravings, reducing or stopping use, and developing healthier habits and behaviours. Turning Point can also provide assessments, support goal setting, and facilitate access to residential detox or rehabilitation services.

Turning Point also offers specialist LGBTQ+ and chemsex support in partnership with Antidote at London Friend.

Club Drug Clinic offers support around club drugs – including crystal methamphetamine, GBL, ketamine, mephedrone or nitrous oxide.

The Dual Diagnosis Team supports adults who are living with both severe mental illness and co occurring substance use needs. The service provides tailored 1 to 1 support, including psychological and motivational work, harm reduction advice, and help to improve wellbeing.

Through these services, we provide a wide range of treatment options, including tailored support for women, LGBTQ+ residents, people with co existing mental health needs, and those seeking peer support.

Services for children and young people

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) provide free, friendly and confidential support for young people aged 9–25 who are living with or affected by drug or alcohol issues. They focus on overall wellbeing, prevention and early intervention.

Peer support services


Build on Belief is a peer led charity that provides socially based befriending, activities, and support for people with lived experience of drug and alcohol dependency. Open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4.pm, at 32a Wardour Street, Westminster W1D6QT.

Support for people sleeping rough
Dr Hickey’s Surgery provides dedicated healthcare for people who are rough sleeping or experiencing homelessness. The service supports individuals with complex health needs, including physical health issues, mental health conditions, and substance use. 

Training for frontline services, volunteers and medical professionals
Change, Grow, Live deliver free training webinars on identifying problematic drinking, how to signpost and refer into appropriate support and treatment. 
Turning Point deliver free online and in person workshops around substance use issues and help professionals meet the needs of local residents. Their training is based on the real-life stories of people they have supported. Find out more and book

Help when you're feeling low

If you or someone you know is feeling like life is not worth living, or if you've been bereaved by suicide, you don't have to struggle alone. There are a number of organisations that can help when you need it most.

Domestic violence support

If you or someone you know is at risk of domestic violence, help is available.

In a non-emergency, call 101 for support.

In an emergency dial 999. If you are in danger and unable to talk on the phone, call 999 and then press 55. This will transfer your call to the relevant police force who will assist you without you having to speak.
