Digital library
The Digital Library is the way you can engage with our online resources, most often without having to visit us in-person. All you need is a library membership and internet access, plus a curiosity to step into our virtual world. The Digital Library comprises enriching online resources that cater for eclectic tastes, interests and topics from family history to alternative music streaming. There is also a range of apps to access our e-library for books, audio and more.
When you join the library, you can access these resources anywhere with internet. Many of the resources are free. You just need to log in with your library card number and PIN.
Library only access
Some of our libraries have library only resources. For these resources, library staff may need to log you in.
Access our entire Digital Library via our library catalogue, which covers:
- most popular: Ancestry, Borrowbox, FindMyPast, Libby, Pressreader, Times Digital Archive, Lida-Europe
- business
- children
- culture and creativity
- education and language
- e-library: audio, books, magazines and newspapers
- family history and biographies
