Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 25 Apr 2017
Conditions and reasons:

1)

By reason of its position the proposed dropping of the window cill to create French doors and balcony enclosed by metal railings would represent a visually obtrusive and incongruous feature, which would harm the appearance of the building and would fail to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the conservation area. As such, the proposal is contrary to policies of the development plan, in particular policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6 and CL11 of the Consolidated Local Plan, adopted July 2015.

Informatives:

A pre-application advice service is also offered. In this case the proposal does not comply with guidance and policies. No pre-application discussions were entered into, but the Council is ready to enter into discussions with the applicants through the advice service to assist in the preparation of any new planning application.
