Tracking and Monitoring Progress
The Action Plan for 2025-2027 sets out the key activities for the council over the coming two years to deliver the Council Plan. The council operates in a context of evolving local, regional and global factors which means it will need to remain adaptable and flexible to new demands, challenges and opportunities.
Delivery progress on the Council Plan Action Plan is assessed using a RAG system based on current issues and future risk to delivery. Actions are rated green where there are no issues or risks, amber when issues or risks have been identified, and red when those issues are risks are deemed to be significant.
Updates on delivery of the Council Plan Action Plan are included within the council’s Corporate Performance report, which also includes the latest outturns and RAG ratings for the council’s performance metrics. The Executive Management and Joint Leadership team receive this report on a quarterly basis, and it is taken to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee every six months (at the end of quarters two and four).
The council has developed a corporate performance dashboard (Corporate Performance Dashboard) that is available on the council’s website and updated quarterly. The dashboard uses charts and graphs to provide a more visual update of trends in performance data over time. The RAG ratings for CPAP actions are also included in the dashboard. A new version of the dashboard is currently being developed which will make performance and delivery information easier to access for officers, members and residents. The new dashboard will be available from quarter one 2025/2026.
