Mayoral Charity

Each year, the Mayor chooses a Mayoral Charity to principally raise awareness of their work and to support them with their fundraising efforts. This is usually a local charity with strong links to the borough.

Councillor Janet Evans has chosen The Kensington + Chelsea Foundation to be her mayoral charity for 2026 to 2027.

About The Kensington + Chelsea Foundation

The Kensington + Chelsea Foundation is a local charity that identifies and supports projects which improve the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our communities. The Foundation plays a crucial role, bringing people and communities together to strengthen local connections, positively impacting the lives of over 18,000 residents a year. Their current focus is on improving mental health, skills and employment and educational opportunities.

Director of The Kensington + Chelsea Foundation, Victoria Steward Todd, said:

“We are absolutely delighted and honoured to have been chosen as the Mayor's Charity – the Mayor shares our belief in the power of local giving and the transformational impact that grassroots community projects can have. We look forward to a year of celebrating community and working together to benefit residents across the borough.”
