You can apply for a Certificate of Lawfulness if:
- you want formal confirmation that planning permission is not needed
- the work or use is permitted development

Change of use from offices to homes
In May 2013, the whole borough was exempt from changes to permitted development rights that allowed offices to be converted into homes without planning permission.
