Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 03 Jul 2014
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed advertisement and its associated supporting structure, by reason of its height, scale, bulk and proximity to residential properties to the south of the site, would have an unexpected, conspicuous, discordant and dominant impact on the landscape, to the detriment of the visual amenity of the area for occupiers of those residential flats and motorists travelling westbound on the A40 (Westway). The proposal would therefore be contrary to paragraph 67 of the National Planning Policy Framework and policy CR4(f) of the Core Strategy 2010.
