Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 11 Jun 2008
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposal to erect an additional storey to the mews house in the form of a mansard is considered unacceptable in principle as it is located within a mews which has retained its original roofline with only one property featuring an additional storey. The proposed mansard addition is also considered unacceptable by virtue of its scale and bulk which would fail to either preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the building itself and of the mews and of the surrounding conservation area. The proposed development is considered contrary to the Council's Unitary Development Plan policies, in particular, Policies CD27, CD44, CD45, CD55, CD61 and CD62.
