The proposed extension to the existing rear closet wing by virtue of its height, bulk and design would harm the heritage significance of this designated heritage asset and the group value of 8-24 Egerton Terrace. Therefore the proposal is contrary to Council Policy as stated in the Development Plan, in particular in Core Strategy Policy CL4 of the Core Strategy, the National Planning Policy Framework and English Heritage's "London Terrace House 1660-1860', and the Thurloe Estate and Smith's Charity Conservation Policy Statement.
