Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 02 Jan 2013
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed two storey rear extension, by reason of the size and location, would obscure the rear elevation of the building and would not be visually subordinate to the existing building. The proposal would therefore neither preserve nor enhance the character or appearance of the building, this group of properties or the wider Chelsea Conservation Area, contrary to policies CL1, CL2, CL3 and CL6 of the Core Strategy, adopted 8 December 2010, 'saved' policies CD47 and CD63 of the Unitary Development Plan, adopted 2002 (as amended) and the guidance contained within the Chelsea Conservation Area Proposals Statement.

Informatives:

1)

2)

Refused despite pre-app advice

Nevertheless, the Council is ready to enter into discussions with the applicants through the advice service to assist in the preparation of a new planning application.
