Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 14 May 2014
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed second floor rear extension, because of its size and siting would disrupt the even rhythm of rear additions, would raise above the prevailing building line, would be out of context with the existing building and terrace and would fail to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the conservation area. It would also have a negative impact on both private and public views within the conservation area. As such, the proposal would fail to comply with the requirements of the Council's development plan, in particular Core Strategy policies CL1, CL2 and CL3 and 'saved' Unitary Development Plan policies CD47 and CD63 and the Chelsea Conservation Area Proposals Statement.
