1)
The proposed mansard roof addition would result in the loss of the traditional V-shaped roof form of historic interest; and it would detract from the uniform roofscape and roofline of a terrace group of properties that is only broken by isolated roof additions, and by reason of its unsympathetic design and projection above the height of neighbouring properties, the development would appear incongruous, out of place and character with the terrace group on which it forms part, and with the surrounding townscape, thereby failing to preserve the character and appearance of the host building, group of buildings, and this part of the Colville Conservation Area, and the views enjoyed within it, contrary to the policies of the Local Plan 2019, in particular policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6, CL8, and CL11 and guidance within the NPPF.
