1)
The proposed mansard roof addition would result in the loss of the traditional V-shaped roof form of historic interest and detract from the roofscape and roofline of a terrace broken by only isolated roof additions. By reason of its unsympathetic design, scale, visual mass, disjointed form and appearance, and excessive vertical projection above the height of neighbouring properties, the development would appear incongruous, obtrusive and out of character with the group on which it forms a part, thereby failing to preserve the character and appearance of the host building, group of buildings, and this part of the Ladbroke Conservation Area and the views enjoyed within it, contrary to the policies of the Local Plan 2019, in particular policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6, CL8, and CL11 and guidance within the NPPF and statute with regard to assessment of proposed development within conservation areas.
