Conditions and reasons:

1)

Limited period (Use) The annual temporary use and associated structures hereby permitted is for a limited period only for the final four days of play associated with the Wimbledon Tennis Championships for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026 only, with a set up day before the live event. By the end of this period each year, all structures shall be removed from the site and the use terminated with the land restored to its former condition.
Reason - The form and appearance of the structures is out of character with the surrounding area and is permitted for a limited period only because of the special circumstances of the case.

2)

Six weeks notice The applicant shall inform in writing the Local Planning Authority of the dates of the event not less than six weeks prior to the installation of the screen and speakers on the site.
Reason - In order that the Local Planning Authority may monitor the impact of the proposal and in order to protect the amenity of neighbouring properties and in the interest of highway safety.

3)

Compliance with approved drawings The development shall not be carried out except in complete accordance with the details shown on submitted plans
Reason - The details are material to the acceptability of the proposals, and to ensure accordance with the development plan.

4)

Screen and speakers The screen and speakers on the Duke of York's running track hereby approved shall only operate between 11:30 and 21:00.
Reason - To prevent any significant disturbance to residents of nearby properties and comply with development plan policies, in particular policy CL5 of the Local Plan 2019.

5)

Noise from speakers The level of amplified sound emitted from the speakers hereby approved shall not increase the existing LAeq,10-minute ambient noise level by more than 5dB(A). The noise emitted shall be measured or calculated 1.0m from the facade of the nearest residential premises. The set level shall be controlled by a noise limiter or other device to ensure that the permitted set level is not exceeded. If at any time the speakers are determined by the local planning authority to be failing to comply with this condition, they shall be switched off upon written instruction from the local planning authority and not used again until it is able to comply.
Reason - To prevent any significant disturbance to residents of nearby properties and comply with development plan policies, in particular policy CL5 of the Local Plan 2019.

6)

Noise assessment recommendations Prior to the operation of the use, the recommendations contained within the document titled 'Noise Impact Assessment' prepared by RSK Acoustics reference 2062463-RSKA-RP-001-(01) dated 27/03/2024 shall be adopted and implemented in full, and so maintained for the duration of the use.
Reason - To prevent any significant disturbance to residents of nearby properties and comply with development plan policies, in particular policy CL5 of the Local Plan 2019.

7)

Trees - lopping and topping For the duration of works the trees existing on the site at the date of this permission shall be protected so as to prevent damage above and below ground, and no tree shall be lopped, topped, or felled, or root pruned, without the prior written approval of the local planning authority.
Reason - To ensure that the trees are adequately protected, to safeguard their contribution to theÿappearance and amenity of the area and accord with policies of the development plan, in particular policy CR6 of the Local Plan 2019.
