The proposed additional storey is considered to be visually intrusive and harmful to the character and appearance of the townscape, mews and Conservation Area by virtue of its location and bulk and is therefore contrary to Policies contained within the Conservation and Development Chapter of the Unitary Development Plan, in particular CD27, CD44, CD45, CD50, CD55, CD61 and CD62 and Supplementary Planning Guidance- The Edwardes Square, Scarsdale and Abingdon Conservation Area Policy Statement.

Relevant Policies Used
You are advised that a number of relevant policies of the Unitary Development Plan were used in the determination of this case, in particular, Policies CD27, CD33, CD35, CD36, CD44, CD45, CD50, CD55, CD61 and CD62. The London Plan was taken into consideration in the determination of this case. (I51)
