The alterations at roof level are insensitive and unsympathetic to the existing parent building and are not in keeping with the style, character, scale, bulk, proportion and rhythm of the main building, having a significant detrimental impact on the level of amenity for the surrounding properties and as such, would not preserve or enhance but would individually spoil the character and appearance of the property, the terrace of properties of which this one forms a part and the Ladbroke Conservation Area as a whole and is therefore contrary to the Council's Policies which seek to preserve and enhance the character and appearance of the Borough as stated in the Council's Unitary Development Plan, in particular, Policies CD27, CD35, CD44, CD45, CD46, CD50, CD51, CD57, CD61 and CD62.
