Conditions and reasons:

1)

The elephant sculptures hereby permitted shall be retained for a limited period only from 2nd May 2010 until 12th July 2010, on or before which date the elephants shall be removed, (the land restored to its former condition) and the use discontinued. (C003)
Reason - The form and appearance of the exhibit is out of character with the surrounding area and is permitted for a limited period only because of the special circumstances of the case. (R003)

2)

The development hereby permitted shall be carried out exactly and only in accordance with the drawings and other particulars forming part of the permission and there shall be no variation therefrom. (C068)
Reason - The details are considered to be material to the acceptability of the proposals, and for safeguarding the amenity of the area. (R068)

3)

The elephants shall be placed so that they do not obstruct any drains, utility covers or fire hydrants.
Reason - So that the temporary exhibit does not interfere with the permanent infrastructure of the area.

4)

All reasonable measures must be taken to ensure that the temporary elephant sculpture(s) hereby permitted is/are monitored and maintained so as to be kept free from graffiti or unsightly damage.
Reason - To ensure that no harm occurs to the visual amenity of the vicinity.

Your attention is drawn to the Conditions of this Permission and to the Council's powers of enforcement, including the power to serve a Breach of Condition Notice under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, as amended. You are advised that from the 6th April 2008 there is a formal system by which planning conditions should be discharged.
