The proposed mansard roof extension by reason of its bulk, mass, size, siting and design would introduce an uncharacteristic form of development which fails to respond to the established roofline of the terrace group, which is unbroken. The development fails to respect the established character and appearance of the building, terrace and fails to preserve views within and from the Kensington Conservation Area. As such, the proposed additional storey would be contrary to Local Plan Policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6, CL8 and CL11.
