Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 23 Apr 2018
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposal would involve the loss of one residential unit which would reduce the supply and choice of housing available within the Borough. The development would therefore not contribute to meeting housing targets and housing needs for the Borough and London as a whole through ensuring a net increase in residential accommodation. The proposal would be contrary to the aims of Development Plan, in particular Policies CH1, CH2 and CH3 of the Consolidated Local Plan and Policies 3.3 and 3.14 of the London Plan.

Refused despite pre-apps and discussions
To assist applicants in finding solutions to problems arising in relation to their development proposals the Local Planning Authority has produced planning policies, and provided written guidance, all of which are available on the Council's website, and offers a pre-application advice service. Pre-application advice was sought and provided, and improvements recommended during assessment of the application. Unfortunately this advice was not adhered to. Nevertheless, the Council is ready to enter into discussions with the applicants through the advice service to assist in the preparation of a new planning application.
