By reason of its position and design, the proposed window within the shop frontage would form an intrusive and incongruous feature, harming the appearance of the shopfront, the parade and street scene, and failing to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Ladbroke Conservation Area. As such, would be contrary to policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL10 and CL11 of the Local Plan, adopted September 2019, and the Shopfront Design Guide SPD, adopted November 2011.
