The proposed glazed enclosure and roof terrace, by reason of its siting at main roof level, and its size (in particular its height) and design would fail to relate architecturally to the building, and would appear out of place, incongruous and a visually intrusive form of development. As such, the proposals would neither preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the building, the terrace and the wider Sloane Square Conservation Area and are contrary to policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6, CL8 and CL11 of the Local Plan 2019.
