Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 30 Oct 2020
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The unsympathetic design, scale, heights, and position of the proposed A/C enclosures would constitute an unduly prominent and incongruous form of development which would be inappropriate in the rear garden and out of place in the context of the surrounding area. In consequence, the proposals would fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the property and the conservation area and views enjoyed within it, contrary to policies of the Local Plan 2019, in particular policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6, and CL11.

Informatives:

No pre-application discussions were entered into, but the Council is ready to enter into discussions with the applicants through the advice service to assist in the preparation of any new planning application.
