Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 30 Jun 2023
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed enlargement and additional windows located along the side elevation of the host building would lead to a harmful increase in the perceived level of overlooking, resulting in a material worsening of living conditions at no.19 Carlyle Square. The proposal would fail to accord with policy CL5 of the Local Plan 2019.

2)

By virtue of the depth, bulk, and massing of the proposed extension, the development would lead to an increase sense of enclosure to both no.19 Carlyle Square and no. 36 Chelsea Square. The proposal would fail to accord with policy CL5 of the Local Plan 2019.
