The proposed side dormer would result in an incongrous, inconsistent and inappropriate roof form that would disrupt the building line and roofscape. The proposed side dormer would impact public views and be harmful to the character and appearance of the building, group of buildings and wider conservation area. The proposal is therefore contrary to policies CL1, CL3, CL8 and CL11 of the Local Plan 2019 and guidance within the De Vere Conservation Area Appraisal and Kensington Court Conservation Area Appraisal.
