Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 14 Feb 2022
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The the proposed alterations and extensions to the property, because of their prominent locations, detailed design and materials, would fail to reflect the architectural attributes of the application site building and the group of terraced properties of which it forms part (in particular nos. 146 to 158). For these reasons, the proposals would have an adverse impact upon the character and appearance of the Kensington Conservation Area which would neither be preserved or enhanced as their result. The proposed development is thereby contrary to Local Plan policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL6, CL9 and CL11 accordingly.

2)

The proposed rear raised level outdoor terraced area, would subject the occupiers of nearby properties to unacceptably increased levels of overlooking, noise and disturbance. The proposals would therefore fail to comply withy Local Plan policy CL5.
