We recently received an application, on your behalf, from a company called Treecare who are proposing to heavily prune the mature lime tree in the front garden of the above property. In our opinion these works are unnecessary and would be detrimental to the appearance of the tree. This type of pruning would also stimulate rapid growth in this species of tree that would necessitate regular containment pruning.

We would have no objection to the tree being pruned but not to the specification proposed. We would like to offer you the opportunity to revise the application to the following specification:
