Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 10 Nov 2016
Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed development, by virtue of the increase in height and remodelled elevations, would result in a dominant and unsympathetic building which would fail to match or improve upon the positive and important contribution made by the existing building to the character and appearance of the Kensington Conservation Area. As such the proposed development would fail to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the conservation area, and would be contrary to policies of the development plan in particular policies CL1, CL2, CL3, and CL8 (b) (iv) (v) and (iv) of the Consolidated Local Plan and guidance provided in the Conservation Area Proposals Statement (CAPS).
