Conditions and reasons:

1)

The proposed additional storeys would disrupt an existing roofline unimpaired by extensions, and, therefore, would be detrimental to the character and appearance of this group of properties (Nos. 2 - 14 Abingdon Road) and to the character and appearance of this part of the Conservation Area. As such, the proposal is contrary to policies of the Unitary Development Plan, in particular, Policies CD38 (a), CD44, CD48, CD49, CD52, CD53, CD54 and CD56.

The proposed additional storeys on Nos. 2 and 4 Abingdon Road, by virtue of their design and bulk at the rear would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the group of properties (Nos. 2 -14 Abingdon Road) and to the character and appearance of this part of the Conservation Area. As such, the proposals are contrary to policies of the Unitary Development Plan, in particular Policies CD25, CD39 (b), CD44, CD48, CD49, CD52, CD53 and CD56.

The proposed rear extensions to Nos. 2 and 4 Abingdon Road would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the group of properties ( Nos. 2 -14 Abingdon Road) and to the character and appearance of this part of the Conservation Area by virtue of their bulk and design. As such, the proposals are contrary to policies of the Unitary Development Plan, in particular Policies CD25, CD41 (c), (d), (f) and (i), CD44, CD48, CD49, CD52, CD53 and CD56.
