Decision details

This case has not yet been decided.

Decision: Refuse Planning Permission/Consent
Decision date: 19 Mar 2024
Conditions and reasons:

1)

By virtue of the increased scale and massing of the closet wing, the proposal would subvert the accepted hierarchy, impact upon the legibility of the rear elevation and disrupt the rhythm of the group, causing harm to the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building. Due to the loss of fabric the proposal would also cause harm to the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building. As such, the proposal is contrary to policy CL4 of the Local Plan.

Nevertheless, the Council is ready to enter into discussions with the applicants through the advice service to assist in the preparation of a new planning application.
