Conditions and reasons:

The proposed erection of an additional storey above the rear parts of the corner buildings at Nos. 225-227 Kensington High Street, by reason of its increased height, added bulk and sensitive location, would comprise an inappropriate form of development that would harm the character and appearance of the individual building as well as those of the wider Edwardes Square, Scarsdale and Abingdon Conservation Area. The proposals are thereby contrary Local Plan policies CL1, CL2, CL3, CL9 and CL11.

The proposed erection of an additional storey above the rear parts of the corner buildings at Nos. 225-227 Kensington High Street, by reason of its increased height, added bulk and sensitive location would comprise an inappropriate form of development that would have an overbearing impact upon the neighbouring Grade II listed Our Lady of Victories church building and its setting. The proposals are thereby contrary Local Plan policy CL4.
