Link your council accounts to MyRBKC

You can link your Council Tax or Housing Benefit account to your MyRBKC account to manage your services in one place.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • your Council Tax bill or benefit documents
  • your account reference number

Enter your details exactly as shown on your documents.

To link your Council Tax account:

  1. Go to Council Tax and Housing Benefits
  2. Select Council Tax
  3. Choose whether you are a resident or a company
  4. Enter your details as shown on your most recent Council Tax bill, including:
    • first name and last name
    • postcode
    • Council Tax reference number
  5. Select Authenticate

To link your Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction account:

  1. Go to Council Tax and Housing Benefits
  2. Select Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction
  3. Enter your details exactly as shown on your most recent Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction letter, including:
    • first name and last name
    • postcode
    • claim reference number
  4. Choose how you want to verify your account details
  5. Select Authenticate

View your Council Tax bill

  1. Go to Council Tax and Housing Benefits
  2. Select Council Tax
  3. Select View and print a bill
  4. Select View bills for the relevant year
  5. Select Open file to view the PDF

Pay your Council Tax

To make a Council Tax payment:

  1. Go to Council Tax and Housing Benefits
  2. Select Council Tax
  3. Select Pay my Council Tax online. This opens a new browser window.
  4. Enter the required details and submit the form
  5. Close the browser window
  6. Select Back to MyRBKC to return to your account

Set up Direct Debit payments

To set up or change a Direct Debit:

  1. Go to Council Tax and Housing Benefits
  2. Select Council Tax
  3. Select Change payment method.
  4. Enter your bank details and choose your payment method
  5. Enter the required details and submit the form
  6. Select Back to MyRBKC to return to your account
