Second home permits
If you own a second home within the borough, you can apply for a second home permit.
You will only be able to apply if you do not already hold a resident permit for Kensington and Chelsea and your main address is outside of the borough. This permit provides you with the same access to park within the borough as a resident parking permit, and the required evidence is the same.
Car or motorcycle permit
A second home permit can be for a car or a motorcycle, but, unlike with a resident parking permit, you cannot hold both types.
Limited number of permits available
There are a maximum of 1,000 second home permits available at any given time, allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you find you are unable to proceed with your application, it is likely this limit has been reached. We do not operating a waiting list, and auto-renewals are not available for second home permits.
How to apply
To apply for this permit, select ‘no’ when asked “Is your permit address also your main home and permanent home in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and you have no other residence where you live and sleep more regularly”. You will be asked to provide your correspondence address, which is your main address, and your permit address, which is your second home within Kensington and Chelsea.
