From 27 August 2026, you will not be able to set up a new monthly parking permit subscription or autorenewal.
If you already have a monthly parking permit subscription or autorenewal, it will continue as normal. You do not need to do anything.
This is due to a technical issue.
You can still buy parking permits for 3, 6 or 12 months in advance.
We are working to fix the issue and will update this banner when the issue has been fixed.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
Processing your resident permit application: useful information
If you have applied online, you will receive confirmation by email which contains your permit ID.
Once your permit application is approved or rejected, you will be notified through your chosen method of communication.
Provisional permits
A provisional permit allows you to park in resident parking bays within the borough while your application is processed.
You will receive a provisional permit if you:
- have submitted your renewal and your payment has been authorised, but your permit has expired
- need to submit additional evidence
Issues with application
If we identify a fraudulent application, such as if you are not a resident of the borough, we reserve the right to reject the application and keep your payment.
Missing documents
If we cannot process your application due to missing or incorrect documents, you will receive an email giving the reasons for the rejected application and a link to resubmit your application. We will also contact you by phone if possible. If we don’t receive a response within five working days, the application will be rejected, and your payment will not be refunded. If you still need the permit, you will need to submit a new application and pay again.
