Information on personalised parking bays which are provided if you hold a disabled person's Purple Badge and are unable to walk more than 50 metres.
A personalised parking bay is provided outside or near a person's front door for their exclusive use if no off street parking is available. You may qualify for a bay if you hold a disabled person's Purple badge and are unable to walk more than 50 metres.
Due to serious parking pressure in the Royal Borough, applications for these parking bays must be carefully considered before being approved. Each eligible applicant is entitled to one Bay for one nominated vehicle.
Each parking bay is marked by an identity number which is also printed on your special permit. You must display this personalised permit, and your Purple Badge, in the vehicle when you are using the bay.
If you have access to a garage or to off-street parking, you will not normally qualify for a parking bay on the public highway. If you are a Council tenant and there is off-street parking available on your estate, you will not normally qualify.
